Credit for Prior Learning & Credit Transfers
Policy on transferring credits from other institutions and recognition of prior learning.
Eligible Institutions
Recognized Prior Learning (RPL) credits for completed degrees or professional qualifications are recognised from any USA-accredited university or from international universities recognised as equivalent. RPL credits for the MBA are awarded based on the level of ICMA membership.
Maximum Recognized Prior Learning Credit
- Graduate studies (MBA): Maximum of 8 courses' RPL credit is recognised.
- Doctoral studies (DBA): Maximum of 33 graduate semester credits for coursework units only.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)
No credit is granted for prior experiential learning alone. No Ability-to-Benefit students are admitted.
Fees
- Credit recognition assessment: US$200 per course.
- Challenge assessments: Not provided at present
Notice Concerning Transferability
Calwest University has not entered into any articulation or transfer agreement with any other college or university. Transferability of credits earned at Calwest University is at the complete discretion of the receiving institution. If the credits or degree that you earn at Calwest University are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution.
